Solent Tonight, Solent TV’s weekday evenings’ news programme (Sky channel 219), featured the Island’s two synchronised skating teams – the Wight Diamonds and the Wight Gems – in its broadcast for Tuesday 27 March.

The Isle of Wight’s club competition takes place this year on Sunday 15 April. Planet Ice has given the club only limited time for the event, which will therefore comprise free-skating events and a spin, spiral and jump category.
Entry forms need to be back with head coach Terri Fleming by 31 March.


Bracknell opens for free skating take place on 25 and 26 April 2007.

Island synchronised skating team the Wight Diamonds is among the competitors skating at intermediate level in this year’s British RJS Synchro Championships, held at iceSheffield on 19 March.
Novice team the Wight Gems will also be among the competitors at Sheffield, taking part in the open competition on the same day.
