IW skaters taking part in Bracknell Ice Skating Club’s open competitions on 25 and 26 April achieved the following podium places:

Photo Gallery: Club Competition
The Isle of Wight County Press has published pictures from the club’s free skating competition in the photo gallery section of its website. A CP photographer stayed for the duration of the event, which was a welcome first, and a report is expected to appear in a forthcoming edition of the paper.

The club’s annual competition took place on 15 April at Planet Ice Ryde. Only free-skating classes were contested, owing to restrictions on ice time from Planet Ice, and the artistic classes will probably be contested in the autumn in a separate competition.

The County Press’s report on the performance of the Wight Diamonds and Wight Gems at the British RJS Synchronised Skating Championships and Opens appeared in today’s edition (IWCP Friday 13 April 2007) along with a picture of the Diamonds.
The Wight Diamonds, bronze medallists at intermediate level at the championships, are sponsored by Wightlink.
