The Wight Diamonds synchronized skating team have celebrated their first international success by taking silver medal position at a competition for novice-level teams in Moscow.

The Wight Diamonds took silver medal position in their age category in a synchronized skating competition for novice teams held in Moscow on 11 May. The team flies back from Russia this evening and we hope to have more details soon.


IW figure skaters had an excellent couple of days in Bracknell, collecting 11 medals in what was their first open competition this season.
In her first ever mainland competition Felicity Gingras took bronze in the Dormouse Trophy for skaters of level one or under and aged eight or less.

The IWID&FSC is holding a special fund-raising gala on Saturday 3 May to help send the Wight Diamonds synchronized skating team to compete in Moscow later this month.
The gala takes place at Ryde Arena (Planet Ice), doors open at 5:45pm, and the show runs from 6pm to 7pm. Admission is just £2.00.
