The annual scooterists rally over the August bank holiday weekend and an event the following weekend mean that there is no synchronized skating practice on Saturday 23 and Saturday 30 August.

IW skater Georgia Whelan, who skates with Holiday on Ice, is featured in a news item on the NISA website about calls for an ice rink in Southampton. Georgia trained to become a coach, being mentored by Island head coach Terri Smith.
